Viral Youtube Videos - How?

    Hey,

I recently acquired a taste for creating movies - and I have to ask, if a Video is Viral worthy - what could one do to speed the proccess up? WITHOUT using Software nor bought Traffic. Forums? Article Marketing? Tips?

I realise this could be quite hard to achieve - but I am determined and ready to devote my time - the video will hopefully aid in sales of one of my sites products.

    Thanks guys,

    BenderFry

Fake youtube views is probably the easiest way to speed up the process. It won't work if your video sucks though. The content of the video is the main thing that will determine whether or not it will go viral, marketing will only help it along.

So without advertisement or catalysts - the vid can still go viral?
Also how should I monetize my site - the one which the vid will link back too? CPM?

Sure if the video is good enough you don't have to do much in the way of advertising. Only a very very small number of videos actually go viral though. Best way of monetizing is probably throwing your site/affiliate link in the description, as well as watermarking the video with your site.

some people actually make alot of revenue from youtube marketing because it works quite well and it is FREE.
Why only SOME of these people succeed and make more money than others???!! it is because their videos standout from the ordinary crowd. I mean there are tons of videos out there on youtube but only a few stand out.
My main point is: NOT everyone is CREATIVE enough to make a special video.

Viral is something the public at large determines.

You should get as many links to the video as you can, so that will build a decent amount of views. From there, your video will be more likely to be watched by people who just happen to stumble upon it

if you build it they will come in terms of youtube videos.

plus you could upload it to your facebook account to get people direct access to the video then it can spread from there and also encourage others to add it to there site if it is cool and maybe funny.

I agree with the others in that it starts with the video itself. Videos that get ridiculous amounts of views usually have a very BROAD appeal, so lots and lots of people watch them. If you take something like that Miss Teen South Carolina vid from last year, or one of those laughing babies videos, that's something pretty much everybody finds entertaining. The problem is that not everyone will have the same interest in making money online or losing weight or whatever, so already you're at somewhat of a disadvantage if you're selling a product that addresses more of a specific need.

So the two ways you could address it is by either by promoting a product that has a very broad appeal, or by making your video very niche specific and use keywords, promotion channels, etc. that will appeal to that niche.

In either case, the best approach would probably be to structure your video in such a way that you "bait" viewers by givng them some juicy info in the video, and then letting them know that they can get more of what they want at your website.

For example, if you look at the promos for the movie "The Secret", they did exactly that. They tease you into wanting to know what this "Secret" is, and in order to learn more, you have to go to their website. (The Matrix did the same thing with their "what is the matrix?" campaign before the movie came out.)

TV shows do this all the time (especially those chick tv shows like "Gossip Girl" etc.). They bait you with a commercial that shows some serious drama about to go down, and they leave it unresolved, so that if you want to find out what happens, you have to tune in and watch the show.

So say for example you're targeting the internet marketing crowd. You might do a video on how to generate traffic, and the actual content would be about article marketing...how to write and submit articles. You include a case study showing the results you got in terms of traffic to your website from an article campaign (Actually, I would lead with that. Something like "How I Got 32,000 Visitors, 8,000 Opt-Ins To My List, And Made $12,493 In 3 Months Using Article Marketing" or something like that.)

Then, once you've "hooked" them with that info, you lead them back to your site by promising to show them things that can improve on the information you just gave them. So, in the video , you might give a very general outline of how you used articles to get those kind of results, then at the end of the video, you tell them that they can get the exact step-by-step blueprint for how you did it by going to your site.

Or, you could tell them how you did it, and tell them that at your site, you have a way to get the same results that you got, only in half the time (or with half the effort, or whatever).

So basically, you're just using the video to "bait" people to come to your site, and the site itself does the selling. Not sure if I was clear on all that, but hope it helped. Good luck!
