    so much more..depends on traffic and clicks..some adwords publisher put their links directly to cnn.com..

    i guess they were invited by adsense with certain deal,i don't think site like cnn need adsense.might be google had requested them to put adsense ads..for might be some 100 thousands or million deal

    I think it is very good to see AdSense on sites like this. It delivers more credibility to the program and encourages more advertisers to use the AdWords program and for me as a publisher, that means a continued line of income. I am very happy to see AdSense on CNN.com, nice find. ;)

    Yeah that's actually probably true at this point... having the online stuff is more about having an online "presence" for them now (and I'm sure it is profitable, but like you said a drop in the bucket compared to tv advertisements, etc.)

    CNN uses AdSense to fill their remaining inventory (or ad slots that remain unsold via direct ads) and hence the revenue from AdSense would greatly vary..
