Which business path would you take?

    Hi, i am very interested in starting a site which sells items. When i say items, i dont want to be selling any digital product - i want to sell physical products. I have come up with 2 options but unsure on what option to do.

    I have a $300 budget, and not sure if to go for an affiliate or find a dropshipper.

    1) Affiliate
    If i was to do affiliate, i would buy a BANS licence - and make lots of sites which sell ebay products.

    The BANS licence is $97, so i will spend 1/3 of my budget on that. I will then spend around $50 on domains. Bringing me up to $150. I have my hosting already so that would mean i have $150 to spend on adwords/advertising.

    or

    2) Dropshipping
    If i was to do this, i'd find a good dropshipper and dropship in the UK. I would go with http://www.oscommerce.com/ and get a custom template made for around $200 leaving me with $100 for advertising.


    Would you do option 1, or 2? And why?

    Which one would enable me to earn $10/day the easiest?

    I think you should do the one which will cost less!!!
    Because aparently, your budget is low
    But because you are already thinking about it, that is a good start

    Hi lolage

    I've investigated both avenues you are speaking of and found a comprimise incorporatng both. Using osCommerce, I was able to create a template that allowed me to customize my store so that it looks completely different from the default installation. Then after joining the eBay affiliate program, I was able to compliment my rather lean inventory offerings with a small directory of related products listed on eBay. The next step is to utilize a free script that is similar to BANS and incorporate it into the store. The free script is HERE

    I'd go the BANS route to be honest, but if you've not used adwords etc before don't throw your money away.

    Go sign up to a plr site, or get a few article written for you for dirt cheap at getafreelancer.com.

    I do not believe in BANS but this is my personal thing :) oscommers is a good product but you have to be a PHP guru to be able to tune it to your needs. Selling digital products is easier as you do not have to deal with shipping. Why don't you try promoting clickbank products? Just do not jump into using adwords - you'd go broke before you notice it :)
