Why the categories wont be listed A-Z?

I've deleted all categories and make new ones in a WP blog. Categories are nicely listed A-Z in the dashboard, but not on the home page - they are listed just randomly there.

How to solve this?

 

Odd, I seem to recall wordpress spitting them out in alphabetical order.

I usually have the reverse issue. At any rate, this will solve your problem.

Thanks for the link, but will it work for WP 2.7? If not, can anybody recommend a different plugin?
