Six Amazon Sites - One Auction!

I'm packaging together a group of six Amazon sites for sale. These are some of my lower performing sites that do earn money collectively. Given that I built them, added some links, then left them alone, it's no wonder. I suspect if someone wanted to promote them, tinker with the adsense layouts, they could probably do better, but I haven't had time, nor will I.

The sites are hands free. Put them up, work on your links, and let them generate money.

This site has made a lot of money for me over the past year or so. It was one of my first Amazon sites. It's an aged site and I feel with good promotion and some high pr links, it can do much better.

Adsense earnings, for all six sites combined, since January 1, 2006:

Amazon Earnings. I have no way of separating out the sites to show Amazon earnings. My last quarter amazon earnings were $430.71. I do have a few other amazon sites that contributed to those earnings as well, but I can't say for sure what is what.

Overall, it's a nice little network of sites that do have some earnings and are hands-free in operation. Tweak the adsense, or add YPN or some other affiliate to it to suit.

The sale includes installation on your server. You should have cpanel, mod-rewrite, php, mysql 4.1 or higher, approximately 2 gig per site for bandwidth and 150 megabytes per site for file storage. You should also have cron capability, so I can install a script that will automatically clear the cached pages. There is no rush on server transfer. If you have server space, great, if not, I will include three months of hosting free on my server and transfer the sites to your server anytime you are ready. I also include one hour of consulting time (after installation) in case you have any questions or need help making any changes.

Keep one or two sites and sell the rest, or keep them all. This is an all-for-one auction for all six sites.

Starting bid is $200

I will set a BIN and auction closing date (this week).

Sites are sold as-is. There is no guarantee of future page rank, future traffic, future sales. Any questions, please let me know and I will try to answer them.

One last bonus: I will provide featured listings to the sites on my Dirmoz directory. Once sale is complete, I will let you choose the category, title, text, etc and provide a free featured listing for each.

Phynder, thank you for your bid. To continue hosting wouldn't be a lot. I have a VPS, so I could create a reseller package for you based on market value (15, 20 a month? I really don't know the market value on hosting.). I'm not really in the web hosting business, except for my web design clients, but I have plenty of space. I'd have to look at what packages cost these days, but I can't imagine it being a lot. I can also do all the transferring to a host if you have one in mind. I'll make sure everything is setup for the buyer and spend some time on the phone to bring them up to speed.

So what is average revenue per month?

And do you have to update new tools etc. by yourself or do new products from amazon show up by themselves?

jklien, will do. I received your PM and will set out to get more detailed info. It will take a while to screen capture all six sites. I wish I knew of a program to screen capture a full browser window, that would make it much easier!

kool - the products are pulled in from Amazon and cached. I have a script that will clear that cache once per day. I do this, because search engines can hit a site and go on and on and on and the cache folder will fill up. The products are always up to date, since they are pulled in from Amazon and deleted from the cache once per day.

The categories are pulled in automatically as well. You could add new top level categories, then the script will query amazon for all the subcategories for that category. It's really pretty neat, because it does all the work!

You know amazon offers tracking codes, they will asign them to you for free. Makes it easy to track each site.

I had a PM asking for more detailed traffic info. After searching around, I found this nifty extension for FireFox:

It allows you to screen capture an entire browser window, even if it scrolls. I've updated the first post with the new image files. They show everything from the cpanel for May 2006 for each site. Of worthy mention, is the number of bot hits from msn and google on some. Of not so worthy mention, a few sites are hit by pesky casino blog spammers, so you can see them in the referrals Pests!

Hopefully this will give everyone better insight to where hits are coming from, what search engines are hitting the sites, etc.
