I searched google for something like "what is an affiliate lead", and it came up on the right side where the ads are.

That was one of the tips in The Rich Jerk's eBook. Catch the reader's attention so they'll keep reading. Don't be like every other advertiser.

I was going to say what giraph said. This is exactly what the rich jerk's e-book states. It immdiately catches the eye and a lot of the time, users want to click!

There was another ad example along the lines of... Don't buy from us.. until you have shopped the rest and found that they sucked.

Wow, "catch the reader's attention" is one of the Rich Jerk's tips? My God, no wonder this guy is a billionaire. He comes up with totally unique advice such as this! I never would have thought to "catch the reader's attention" so they'll keep reading!

    Completely off-topic interruption, sorry:

This ad brings to mind a (real) exchange between Sir Winston Churchill and a lady:

    "Sir, you are a drunkard!"
"Madam, in the morning I shall be sober but you shall still be ugly!"
