Alright. For my website i got these hits this month: Unique Visits: 14279 Number of Visits: 27757 Pages: 1235569 Hits: 5075887 I seem to be getting tones of hits, is this good?
if it was my site that would be a great set of numbers now the question is if they are making you any money?
If this is real traffic then YES this is great for the most of the people! Can I ask in what niche is your website?
It is hard to say if that traffic is any good. First of all, we know nothing about your site. If it is a proxy, those numbers mean nothing. If it is a site selling something with good conversions, those numbers are great! It is all relative! I have a site that gets less than 100 visits a month and makes quite a bit of money! I also have a site that gets many thousands a month, and makes very little!
It depends on conversion ratio because good traffic should sustain and it should generate more business through lead generation.
After nine months, that is very poor. Only a brainless Gomer and or a young kid or noob would think that is good, which is why they themselves have a dead or a slow site. You are either not trying hard enough, just going through the motions, and or you are using methods that don't work. Keep working at it, and harder. You'll get there. But, if you think that is good, you never will get there, like the ones on this board.
I think it really depends how define good. If you will ask a newbie or just doing the same thing, then they would probably tell you that it is good. If you will ask those who are really experts in this field and have mastered the art of blogging, then it will look raw to them. In fact, it also depends on the effect of the hits. If you are not earning money out of the hits, then it is bad.
That depends on where your traffic is coming from and if they are targeted visitors or not. If they are coming into your site from organic search results and people are finding you byt searching for site related topical keyword phrases then I would say that your traffic is very good. The traffic can be good but if your site doesn't convert the site visitors into customers or help them take a defined action on your site, then you are missing the opportunity to make some money.
The fact that you asked this question tells me you are not making much money, if any. Which also tells me that you could get 10 times the traffic and still not make much money. I'd stop worrying about the numbers and start concentrating on targeted traffic and conversions.
