Can you put your google ads on multiple sites?

If you sign up for Google Adsense, are allowed to put the ads they give you on MULTIPLE sites, blogs, forums, and what not? Or must you sign up 1 Google AdSense account PER site?

The sites will still have to follow the Adsense TOS. You would not want to get banned after setting up 1000 blogs with Adsense code.
