    Hi Guys,

Firstly, not sure if this is the correct section but it seemed like the most relevant so appologies if it is incorrect.

Reason for my message that I currently have many domain names that I want to distribute across several domain name registration companies. Does anybody know of a few companies that offer FREE transfer in and free transfer out to another company in case I decide I want to move them? I have 2 reseller webhosting accounts which I will use for all these domain names but in essence I want to ensure I dont have all my eggs in one basket and also for 'whois' seo purposes.

I am based in the UK so all idea would be welcome.

    Cheers

Most registrars are not going to charge to transfer out, but the new registrar will have you purchase an additional year of registration. Adding an additional year to the registration is going to be mandatory.

Remember, putting false whois information can cause you to lose your domain. You can use privacy protection if you want to hide the domain ownership.

Unless you have different hosting on different class "c" IP ranges, you aren't going to fool google. Google assumes links from the same class c ip share common ownership and ignore them (unless it looks like a link farm, and then you can get a penalty.)

Thanks guys, appreciate all the help, still need some names of companies that would be able to do what I have mentioned above. I have no intention of fooling Google, all I want to do is to spread my risk. I have lots of domain names and just want to save the cost of transferring domains in otherwise this will cost me an absolute fortune.

    Thanks

You are going to be required to pay for an additional year with any transfer to another registrar.
Perhaps you should wait until the domain is coming up for renewal.
