Help me choose between a blog, review landing page, or a plain landing page

Well I decided to get another website going to make some more money!

I can't decide which one would make more money. A blog, a review style landing page, or just a landing page. I want to mainly focus on SEO but I also want quick results.

So what do you guys think? Which one of these options will make more money in the long run and will be a quick money maker with SEO?

Also if I go with a blog will it be wise to open a forum along with it?

If I went with the blog, I would choose to do either a cell phone blog, a electronics blog, or a generic blog about evrything. Which one of those do you guys think is best?

This will be my second website. My first website created about two weeks ago was a landing page.

Thanks for the help and the advice everyone!

You can go for both like with the domain you can create a website and with the subdomain you can set up a blog to create a separate web presence.

I am also new at this, but organic traffic needs lots of links-link your 2 sites together and get a few more sites, then you have a chance

Go for a review landing page. A blog is a lot of maintanence for the return.

Im leaning more towards the electronics blog since I'm wanting to attatch a forum and personal online store to the site. I'll also get traffic towards my online store this way.

By getting the electronics blog I'll also be able to sell affiliate products through each article.

Now I don't know if my main page should be my "coming soon online store" or just page explaining the details of the site. What do you guys think?

    Why don't you combine everything?
For instance - Your main site could be your blog where you write about upcoming releases - You attach a Forum and an Online Store - And you have a review section (hopefully reviewing what you have in your store or at least affiliating to something)
Use PPC to get traffic to your review section and online store.

That's a pretty good idea. But what do guys think of this: my main page would be a pace explainig the purpose of my site and all benefits it has to offer and then on the top tabs I can inlude my blog and forum. I'm thinking I'll attatch my store at a later time when I have more products to sell.

Go for a review LP. Testimonials are proven to give better CTR.

I'll take that into consideration. What do you think about a blog about everything?

I heard a blog not focusing on one topic would not be liked by google. But I really want a blog with a lot of topics which I like to talk about. Topics like: religion, electronics, cars, and etc...

I recommend you set up a blog talking about stuff in your store, or something affiliated. From the SEO point of view a blog focusing on respective topic is helpful for your web site. Remember that it is business and don't mess up with other irrespective topics. Meanwhile, you may need to learn more about SEO, site promotion, content marketing, etc. from DP and other webmaster forums.

However, you can obviously have your own blog talking about interests like religion, cars, etc. It's a horse of another color.

    Good luck!

And, try to forget "quick money" because this is quite difficult, especially for new webmasters IMHO. Do it step by step, make efforts to construct and maintain your site. Be patient for the results, and I'm sure you will get what you want.

    1. A blog about "everything" will only get traffic if you're already well-known as a writer, or if you're able to write about "everything" in a way that would quickly establish your reputation as someone who knows a lot about many topics and can write in an entertaining way about them.

    2. I agree with the person who said blog on the main page, and sub-domains for other pages, including review-style landing pages.

    3. I've never started a forum myself, but I understand that it's a lot of work, and can take months (if not years) to establish yourself as an authoritative forum to go to for information or discussion on a specific niche. The reason why people (like us) come to a forum (like this one) is because we know it is, a) established, b) has many active members and therefore plenty of active threads, c) we view it as an authority site on many topics. These are all things you need to consider before starting a forum. You can also search Google for existing forums on the topic you're interested in, to see what your competition would be like (because let's face it, when people only have so much time to visit so many sites/forums, some are going to end up with more traffic than others).

Well you are correct that you have to be a well know writer to be able to get people to read your blog and you actually make money from it. I guess a blog about a specific topic is much better and would produce more sales. Well I think I'll get to work with this then. I'm not going to be a attatching a store to the blog yet but will do so when my inventory will increase.

I was really focusing on opening a electronics blog but opening a blog about Christianity has been on my mind since the thought of opening a blog came to my mind. I believe that the world is going through so much hardships and troubles and it really needs Jesus!

Is this a good niche to make money in?

I'd make it a blog, simply because you want to focus on SEO.

Blogs are amazing SEO tools... I have one blog ranking for credit card terms that I haven't even STARTED doing major SEO work on.
