CPC v/s PageRank

Hey Guys, I am a newbie to SEO world and have been struggling to make some money using Adsense. I have a website up and running from past six months. The problem is CPC is too low in my case. However my website was assigned PR of 1 last month and since then CPC has improved. I wonder if there is any relation between PR and CPC?

Thanks, I understand those may not be related but I thought they maybe related since CPC improved immediately after seeing PR 1 in the toolbar. Income has doubled since then.

Congratulations. It still doesn't make sense to connect the two.

 

Linking the two makes me crazy too but nothing has really changed except PR. Everything else is same. Could this be age? Maynot be logical again but I am just trying to understand how CPC has improved when nothing else has changed. The strange thing is when I drill down to clicks by channel, I could see it's close to double across each channel.

 

Nah! They are not related by any means. The increase in CPC could be because of several reasons.

 

This thing should be discussed more detail.This is because there are many thing that cause increasing in CPC.

 

Most probably the reason is because as your site progress further and gaining PR along the way, this has helped your site overcome the "smart-pricing" issue.
