Tricking Google Adsense

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by amandeepmail, Oct 30, 2008.

Recently I saw that one of the websites (take website.com) which has been disabled by Google due to copyrighted material is showing google ads using a simple trick from last 5-6 months. That website receives more then 70k daily visitors and is full of pirated material..
Here is the trick he is using-
It is using a and iFrame to embed another page (take website2.com/ads.html) :eek:which is clearly on another domain. He is targeting ads by using few of his website keywords in that external iFrame which his adsense code.

Can you explain is this something legal or what should I do?

    Amarjeet,

    I think its illegal...

But instead of wasting time with such thing, how about making some nice site yourself.

You are talking about piracy... what is your site exactly... agreed that you are not hosting the songs file but you are facilitating the piracy by providing the link.

So instead of doing something about that site.... do something about your own site :)

it is OK to display adsense ads on iframe. however, they way website.com is doing it is questionable. i guess enjoy while it lasts.

I was thinking of doing but now I have denied that idea. I have other website which are going good with adsense and I can't lose adsense on them.
Should I tell Google about that website?

Your kidding me with this kind of simple minded answer. First off I dont care if his entire family needs brain surgery. A thief is a thief no special circumstances. If what he is doing violates Google's TOS then he is stealing money from advertisers. From what I understand the 2nd site is keyword rich for high paying ads then frames them onto a crap site which violates Google's TOS.

Remember the day someone steals your identity, house, car or your kid and sells them and says I did it because I have "cancer and needs quick money" you dont convict them all right. You be sure to tell them feel free to come screw me over anytime you need money.

If done properly, ads in iframes (with content) are not against Google's TOS.

I dont think the ads will load on the banned domain even with iframe.
You should just follow the TOS.

why do YOU personally care? ffs Get a LIFE man, Let that guy earn his money and you earn your money. Do you work for google? DO google Pay you to go looking for sites that violate the TOS? No, Didnt think so.
And its not exactly stealing, The site owner that pays for adwords is still getting valid clicks from REAL visitors with related content so they arnt getting ripped off.
So Explain to me how ""he is stealing money from advertisers""??

    Thanks...

How site2 related to site1? So I can create a medical website and then frame the ads off it and show them on image site or a site will illegal content? related content not even close. I take it you dont use adwords this effects any advertiser getting clicks.

Someone looking for a illegal copy of windows clicks a medical ad out of interest no was an accident. Yes its theft he is taking money from advertisers. Yes, I encourage anyone who happens across a site that does violate the policy to report it.
