Reputation Points

Do you bother too much or like having too much reputation points/blobs??
If yes, why? and how does it help you?

Reputation is one of the things that you look out for while trading or dealing with another member.

 

No.I think Itraders and no of posts count more.

 

I think all of it factors in.

Well most of the people who got the high amount of rep blobs probably got it from back when dig / stumble trading was offered. I know for sure a lot of people in freebies abused the rep system that way. So to me rep isn't anything special cause it simply can be "rigged".

 

None of my rep is from this method, but yeah that does make sense.

 

It's nice to have lots of reps but I don't obsess about it, it will come to us in due time

 

rep isn't rigged, your either worthy or your not.

 

Once u will have all green blobs,u will stop checking your user profile.

 

I like them because they look pretty in my profile and they match my dress.

And i didn't know you could get rep in the freebies section or from when they used to stumble and digg! (Why didn't anyone tell me about that?)

I went about it the hard way by helping out where I could.

And I had some good teachers! I learned that hanging out in general chat wouldn't get you anywhere!

 

All my points are legit and I like 'em. Never expected it to grow like that, though!

 

Number of Itrades is the best thing.

 

Yes, even i checked that. Members who joined in 04-06 have on an average full reputation points. It's amazing.
But what do you think guys, is the reputation system going weak nowadays? I can hardly see more than 3 blobs to members of late 07-08(early).

 

I've being getting a few recently. My opinion is that people rep others who have more green blobs hoping that the higher repped member will rep them back, and in turn give them more blobs.

 

I didn't do stumble/digg trades for rep! But I did do free stumbles, and got like 5 rep points voluntarily though.

 

Never help others in anticipation of rep points. Be active and you are sure to get them.

 

To me, it doesn't matter who the person is as long as I find the post worthy to deserve some thumbs up, then I'll rep anyway.
