Just need some quick help/advice. My site anime reviewed has been acting quite strange. we just moved to a new host recently. so our site displays but when you try to click into a post or category we get a 404 error. the admin cp works.

Anyone have an idea what i can do to remedy this?

looks like you've not updated your htaccess

make sure your htaccess is readable from your server (ie. chomd it to 775 or 777) then go to your www.site.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php option and select day and name and it will update the htaccess for you (it may already be updated but your server just can't read it just now).

Yeah permission are set to 777 on htaccess. I have also checked to see if any of our plugins were causing a problem. We deactivated anything related to the permalinks in plugins. Still nothing...

    Thanks

As I thought, the htaccess isn't writeable. You should check your chmod settings again as I'm getting this messages

try connecting using ftp and see if it shows something different. Once its writeable you should be good to go :)

I am almost embarrassed to say. The file .htaccess got renamed in our back up to move to new hosting. We saw that it was named htaccess, a . was the culprit. Once we added the period everything was fine!
