Hi im generaly new to internet marketing I have a couple of websites and any way, I want to start mass directory summiting, but i get to thinking it would be hard to keep track of the ones you submitted to already, so I was woundering what you all did to keep track? Is there a software?

I use a spreadsheet with date submitted, link with the category I submitted to. and a listed box. Pretty easy and I'll go through it once in a while after I'm done submitting I'll run through all the sites that haven't approved / rejected my link and check to see if I'm in there.

I don't know if there's any software out there to keep track, and yeah double checking is as easy as a quick search on the spreadsheet.

Spread sheet would work good enough huh. How do you generaly find directorys, do you search through search engine or use other means. Theres a good site that list about 20 real good ones at: http://best-web-directories.com, sorry can't give out links yet, they thank im a spammer, and I am, but would never spam this website. only craigslist.:)

Yes spreadsheets are a good option, especially if you keep the directories sorted according to their names.

About your second query, you can find lists of directories easily on DP. just browse around a little ;)

My site allows you to track which directories you submit to. Its a got a bug which I am fixing now. You check a box next to each directory and save at the bottom of the page. It keeps a cookie on your comp, so when you want to submit more you just select the site and go :)

We are doing 1000 directory submission work. In my opinion you must make searchable record of directories where you have submitted. More easy you can make excel sheet
