I was wondering have any of you guys brought a domain name from name.com?
I am about to buy one but I just noticed in their ToS it says

Name.com doesnt sell hosting, so what can you do? Buy a domain and forget about it for 60 days? lol?

Can somebody tell me wether I can transfer and roughly the price.
    Thanks!

That is an ICANN regulation. You cannot transfer any domain registration to a new registrar within 60 days. Don't confuse domain registration with hosting a website. You can go into your Name.com control panel anytime and change the Nameservers to point to your website that's hosted elsewhere. Domain name registration and hosting do not have to be, and it is recommended that it is not, with the same company.

Yes, much better to have domain at different company since we easily can transfer that domain to any hosting. I'm still no experience with name.com, so did you having any issue related with propagate time?

I have about 30 domains with Name.com and no complaints so far. My only issue with them is the sick price increase - .com domains used to be $5.99, last time I went domain shopping they were $8.99. Apart from that I'm very happy with them, though. They've even gotten in touch on the phone once or twice just to check if everything is satisfactory. I can recommend them.

I was surprised with their big price jump too. I had to look up for promo codes to get it to $6.99 for my last dot com purchase. Other than that, I have about 20+ domains with them, and I'd recommend them too.
