Search 'keywords' in google and it's your top result.

    1. Go to the Google Keword Selector tool https://adwords.google.co.uk/select/KeywordToolExternal
    2. Sort by Average Monthly Traffic (descending so highest number is displayed at the top)
    3. Choose some keywords. Don't go for the obvious short, broad keywords as these will be near enough impossible to optimse for. I would suggest 3-4 tail keywords.
    4. Go to Google and type allintitle:"your keyword' and hit search. No spaces If the result that comes back is within 100 then this will be a good indication that this is a keyword that is possible to optimise for. Also, just type in the keyword an Google to see how much competition it has, these are the number of results it bring back.

This isnt a complete list and unfortunately I do not have the time to post a full step by step guide but this is a good start for a newbie or even seasoned professionals who may need a reminder. After this, follow best practice SEO techniques which you will find on these forums.....away you go....

Hope it helps and feel free to show me some love by sending me some reps....

Why do you want to include non related content?

You can have a general information site and have it be a sucess. You just need to have a ton of content and silos for each topic.

What kind of "...technical web page" do you have ? Please use link given by balasundaram. What's the point using 'non related' contents!! Optimization means you concentrate on relevant content only

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal - This would be great in finding good keywords / phrases.

Use ranks.nl for checking keyword density. That might be useful for you.
