Yes, you'll be able to customize the style and layout of your blog - Just like blogger.com. You may either use one of Seekopia's templates, or create your own using CSS. You can create a completely different looking blog with just a few CSS changes - this will be explained in greater detail later on!

Yes of course, you can put your own adsense code on your blog.

But not only that! For every post you write to your own blog, you are rewarded with advertising space on the personalized online magazine as well as on all individual blogs hosted on Seekopia which are found through the online magazine.

In other words, the more you contribute to your own blog, the more chance there is that your advertising will appear on the Seekopia Online Magazine, even if your blog gets no visitors. Additionally, while visitors who come to your blog directly will always see your own advertising, blogs found through the magazine will show random advertising, based on how much each blogger is posting. This means that your advertising may appear on each and every blog in Seekopia!

This is a fantastic concept though you're shooting yourself in the foot with the poor branding! This could be huge if you had better branding; change your name to something cool and hire a better designer and this could be big...

Cheers for the advice. Design wise, please keep in mind that we did the sign up page very quickly, and I can assure you the actual site looks much better.
Re: branding, this is something we are about to deal with in fact. Did you have any ideas?
As a matter of fact, one of the features of the beta testing is going to be a poll which allows the beta testers to decide to keep the name, or change it to something better. I have personally spent ages looking for a better domain but nearly everything's taken. But we'll see if we come up with something better!

This concept is intriguing. I wonder how this works if someone's blog is referencing another somewhere else, possibly quoting them?

are you planning on branching out a bit and eventually letting people add their own blogs into the network? (i.e....not having to actually have a blog.seekopedia.com site, but a myblog.com site that still works with seekopedia?...might be a lot more popular if you add that in)

An off topic question what is the literal meaning of beta testing? I know what it means but were does the word or phrase come from it's origins? Anyone know?
