You can look into installing phplist on your server and using that to send out your newsletter. Just find out if your host has a limit as to how many emails you can send per hour.

Holly crap, that's a huge list, I think you have to use a remotely hosted autoresponder like sendstudio, to sent emails to that leads.

But since it is not a double optin you may get slaped for spaming, you you better start from the start or host a auto responder in a virtual private host and Import those emails then send emails, if you feared about getting banned then host it as a desktop hosted auto responder.

you have to run your pc 24/7 to send emails to your leads.

Aweber is actually used by some of the biggest and well-known bloggers in the web today. But i don't know if the service is really that good.

You can try a desktop application known as GroupMail. I've not used it before but you can try it out.

I've stopped using group Mail about a year and a half ago because so many emails didnt get through.

I then signed up to benchmark to send newsletters to my list of 5000 contacts but I am thinking of switching to aweber or get response as they seem better.

This is much better than sending your emails by other means because they ensure most emails get through and lower spam rates.

You should use a service like MailChimp; it will allow you to import your list and then send a message/newsletter to that list. :)

I'm using it myself and it is fantastic - see my site below to check it in use.

Aweber is awsome, one of the most secure services. Why not use Aweber?

Aweber is great if you have a budget and can pay..

phpList will let you set up a cron job and send out emails in batches of 100 or so so that you don't hammer your mail server with 14k emails all at the same time.. Check with your ISP to make sure that they won't kill your account for this first.. Then set up your cron job to send out 100 every 15 minutes.. That will get your whole list sent out in about 35 hours.. or 24 hours if you set it for 10 minutes..

That should be a low enough number to not get your ISP upset with you..

@JNRCorps: It's not the software.. It's your content.. Send yourself your newsletter / email to a mailbox with SpamAssasin on it.. Crack SA down real tight, say a 2, and then see what your email scores on the SA chart.. My bet is that it's over 10..

Once you get the score look at what is causing it to score so high and fix those problems..

this isn't that hard if you take the time to do it right..
