Is it me or am the only one who feels my English skills have taken a beating since being a DP addict.

So many people on this site lack proper grammar skills. Its like each post people talk like this ' how I get high page rank ' and

'dear, can you tell if their were page rank updat '

please tell me its not just me!!

The more you access and post in a forum, the more you get your chances at improving the language, I do not see how using English more hurts at DP.

You must understand that DP has a worldwide audience and not everyone's a native speaker, surely you do not need to follow those who aren't and instead opt to follow those who are?

I do not think being an addict with DP and posting more at DP would bring any harm to one's writing skills.

In fact, reading and writing more helps you improve a lot.

Mistakes can be committed by many but its rather important to learn from them and not to repeat the same in future.

One more imp.thing. If you are good at something, always try and help others who are not.

    Regards,

    RightMan

I'd say my English skills has improved ever since I started taking part in online forums. English still remains a struggle for me, because I don't use it as often as I would like to - but over time course, I feel I posses larger vocabulary and better grammar.

I would say that your written English is excellent, nothing to even suggest that you are struggling with it :)

I highlighted your grammar mistakes. You missed out a word, didn't use a capital letter, missed out a full stop and forgot the apostrophe.

    :)

It won't hurt to take a a grammar lesson or two.

Speaking of this thread, I've personally seen nothing go wrong with my English :)

It's important that we understand each other. You can't blame someone for not knowing English grammar... I sometimes laugh and that's it. ;)

Laugh and the world laugh with you. Sometimes it does help to laugh at our own mistakes :)

Never fear to make mistakes, no one is perfect except God. Learn from our mistakes, that's the most important.

We are here in a popular webmaster forum and consider yourself lucky if you can convey your thoughts to others clearly; this is not an English teaching forum. There is no need to worry about your language skills but if you are very particular, you can improve on that. :)

I know sometimes I tend to type too quick for the keyboard and mess words up, causing confusion because I cant be bothered to re-check what I typed. But it may not imply you are incapable of good English.

I have noticed is that I speak really differently than how I type/ talk on forums. (because in real life there is no ctrl Z!!)

But I know for a fact relying on spell-check all my little life has limited my writing skills (my spelling is rubbsih)
