Looking to get my website included in Dmoz. I have submitted my website to dmoz two times but am yet to get inclusion. It has been more than 4 months but i did not get my website appeared in this directory. I do not know what could be the reason. any suggestion? being seo i know there is very much luck involve in this. There is lots of people who got their website included in google within few weeks.

    thanks.

Your first problem is submitting your site more than once. This could be encompassed by the broader reason of: you don't know how to read the guidelines.

Don't sweat about it... You should submit once and wait.

There is nothing you can do
    submit once is enough

if the proposed category don't have TOO many entries
and your website concept / subject is a little bit unique
then you stand a chance to be included but it could take
long depending on how popular that CATEGORY is !!!

The Dmoz.org directory would have seemed to have come to a standstill. Both myself and others that i know have submitted our websites there, ONCE! but this was almost a year ago.

Would seem that some editors are not working or that it has just stopped.

    Views?

    So it would seem ;)

Though from another standpoint, look at it like this. They have 600 or so active editors with THOUSANDS of sites in the queue within thousands of categories.

It would not bee too far to assume that many of the categories just have no interest to the limited group of editors.

Then again, there is a loop-hole whihc can exclude just about any site.. maybe one of the other rumors are true, like a competitor is your editor ;)

Do what others suggest and just forget about it...

If you're so concerned about it, just become an editor and add your site yourself.

After the amount of time you've spent submitting your site, checking to see if it's been listed, then posting in forums to find out why it hasn't been listed you have wasted the same amount of time anyway.

I might request to become an edititor or maybe setup my own directory.

How many people would like to be involved in that?

Since apparently you don't quite understand how the ODP works.. You submit it again, your old submission is replaced by your new submission - at the bottom of the queue.
