I got an affiliate website that i want to promote. I want to use ppc as
how im going to get traffic. Ive been reading alot on affiliate marketing
and alot of articles is telling to have a website, write about the product
and promote. What im thinking of doing is just promote the website itself
with my affiliate link and get the sale. How should i go about this ?
Should i create a website based on that product or should i just promote
    the affiliate website itself ?

What is the best practice ?

Thank you all for looking !!!

I think you should make a website and promote the product, as long as you are making sales then it would be worth it. Then you can do the promoting of your website.

Yea, I agree. Make a website about the product. Add all the information and content that you can to the website. It will make you seem more "professional".

If you are going to use Adsense then it doesn't hurt to begin marketing the product with your affiliate link. Then take advantage of what you learn by applying it to the development of the site.

If you're planning to do affiliate marketing, it is essential to have your own website. Many affiliate programs from big companies like eBay actually will not allow you to create PPC ads using their name in the destination URL. Odd, yes, but they consider this trade mark infringement.

You can't even create a website promoting like www.myebayaffiliaterewards.com. Ebay and many big sites have been known to sue people for stuff like that.

That's why people keep talking about a specialized niche with a unique title that's keyword heavy so your site is SEO optimized. Here's a good trick to use. Go onto "google keyword tool" and type in a generic keyword. Look at all the keywords associated with the generic one. Click on the pull-down menu to see the estimated cost per click (CPC) for each keyword. Don't worry about the competition. Check to see which keywords get 5 to 6-digit searches and high CPC. Incorporate those keywords into the content of your site. That helps determine what kind of adsense ads you can to your site.

I paid a designer for my website, but you can click on my signature link to see how he designed my site to give you an idea how oyu might want to design yours.

A website gives you a chance to add value for your customer by actually reviewing the product (you are going to buy it and decide what its good for aren't you?). Also some places such as forums don't allow a direct link to an affiliate - instead you link to your website.

Having a website allows you to differentiate yourself from all the other affiliates out there promoting the same product. Plus, you can do things like review the affiliate product you're promoting, as someone mentioned, as well as create "pre-sell" pages, capture e-mail addresses, etc.

Website is the way to go.
Put some quality content on it. Offer a free ebook or white paper if they sign up with their email address. Send them quality content every week or two. Build a relationship with them. Previous customers are much more likely to buy again from you than a new prospect.

hi... I prefer on making an own website. It's like your website will be the core of promoting different products. It's good. All you need is have the excellent way of promoting it. Make contents and build quality links. Else, if you can't, let an SEO Firm handle the promotion.

    Do whatever makes you money.

Just be sure your plans are not in violation of the Affiliates TOS. Many do not allow direct linking in the manner you describe.

Why put a ton of effort into site creation if your only goal is to PPC a product? Make the site if you need to presell, or if it makes sense in the long run to won the space. Otherwise go for it.
