AdSense vs BidVertiser?

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by SoftCloud, Oct 22, 2008.

Ok, small question... which is better? AdSense or BidVertiser? Obviously you'll say AdSense, but the reason I'm asking is because I get around $0.01 - $0.05 per click of an advert from AdSense, however when I go on BidVertiser and approve ads for another site it says on most of them "Max Bid: $7.50" and according to BidVertiser's knowledge base I get paid the max bid... so does that mean if someone clicks on that certain advert, I'm going to get $7.50 for one click? If so, why ain't everyone on BidVertiser instead of AdSense?

Depends whether you want contextual ads or not, Bidvertiser don't do a very good job in relating the adverts displayed to your website content, whereas Adsense does..

Personally, it's all about Adsense, until your site gets smart priced of course..

Stay with Google Adsense. As Skunkard said, their ads are way more targeted (related to your content), and this will (probably) be the most important factor.
By the way, you have to change the bagground colour on dalehay.com. A bagground colour that make people go away is not good for your CTR :)

That background colour is the dogs bo***cks :p

I don't really get much from dalehay.com anyways with adverts... don't really need them on there considering I only get about 10 people go on there daily. My main earner with Google AdSense is Sound Upload.

adsense def sounds like the best of the two options , google offers you guaranteed traffic if you pay for it.

Luckily I've never paid for advertisements... I just left it all to word-of-mouth and other sites using the service (which links back to the site). I do agree though, AdSense is better.. but my main question was about the earnings really.

As I said, Adsense is better for earnings before your website gets put on the "smart price plan" - where you start getting 0.05c clicks, piss poor eCPM, etc..

I do both of them, and adsense actually provide better revenue. For the bidvertiser, one thing is you can choose the ads with different niche, but the CTR will be lower

never use bidvertiser. If you get an invalid click they ask you to ban a bunch of IPs or they remove all your money.

    Stay away from Bidvertiser.

If anything Adbrite rules a million over Bidvertiser.

    Peace,

Had an account with them for 4 years, when it came to start using them, they banned me after getting $300. They knew someone was attacking X site and they told me so, still I lost all the money.

    Peace,

^So you guys saying that AS is better that BidVertiser, How about if it is in a different niche? Like porn, we all know that AS is not available in that niche. :D

If I were try and monetize a Porn site, I definitely wouldn't use Bidvertiser! You can make more money from affiliate programs all those 100's of dating websites, etc.

I second that... My experience with Bidvertiser is not very good... They banned my account because of high CTR.

If you don't like Adsense.. Best Alternative is Adbrite, work with them.
