    Why do you need PR?

Your goal is to get visitors to your customers and that's why serps is a lot more important than any else. PR will come as a result of providing great information to internet users.

My ADVICE: Stop Chasing PR. Let PR Chase YOU

I've seen a PR5 with a single Pr6 link. Meaning, 0 other backlinks. The PR6 page had only 1 outbound link.

    Good luck finding that, though.

More likely you'll need several PR6 links, sometimes a sitewide on a PR6 site can do that for you.

The easiest way (if you have any money) is to buy PR6 links, but that is obviously risky.

Another option is to sponsor WP themes and hope you get the themes picked up on high PR sites.

Getting just one PR6 back-link is no longer sufficient to get a PR5. One PR6 back-link might give you a PR3 most likely.

You'll need to submit to about 5 or so PR6 websites to gain a PR5.

The PR5 I saw with the single PR6 backlink was within the last month. Don't know if it was before or after the most recent update.

Usually it takes more than a single PR6 backlink because there are other outbounds on the PR6 page.

In my experience, you can usually count on a PR of 1 or 2 less than your highest PR backlink. That's obviously influenced by the # of outbounds on the page, your other links, etc.

    There are 2 ways:
    1. The quickest one, but paid: You buy 2-3 links with PR6 or higher. At the next PR calculation your site will have PR5 or even 6.
Advantages: guaranteed results for the shortest time.
Drawbacks: You will have high PR as long as you pay for your links on these sites.

    2. Do internal SEO of your website and than submit it to various blogs, social network sites, forums and others.
    Advantages: constant and stable PR
Drawbacks: this work is extremely laborious and time-consuming and therefore should be done by SEO experts.

I think you better first try work hard to reach to PR4 level. from PR3 to PR4 is not also an easy task. I'm not saying you cannot goto PR5 you can but you'll have to invest effort, time and money. Purchase at least 3 PR6 and PR7 backlinks and increase PR3,PR4 backlink count as much as possible. Addition to that if you can get a .gov or .edu link it'll be an additional support for your PR jumping.

Why ignore PR? This is one of a few important factors I would look at if I decided to pay for a listing.

PR5 is not that hard, PR6+ is. But everything depends on what kind of resources you have. If you have a few PR7 sites in your network, then PR6 is not that hard to get etc.

If your target is to get PR5, then you should go for backlinks from higher PR than your target (PR6-10). It is difficult to get a dofollow backlinks from these sites, but it could save alot of your time if you get a few.

yes, press release and social bookmarking may help. Everyone know that high PR links is very hard to get but not impossible. I have seen lot of links. Try to get high PR links if you want PR5 or high.

Forget PR and just make your site worth visiting. If people feel it's worth visiting you will get others linking to it naturally.
