They again say "get inbound links" and ironically say no to paid links

 

That was pretty obvious, however, I think Backlinks to have a lot to do with PageRank. There are pages listed above mine with less relative, or less informative content than that on my site. These sites are just listed higher because they have more inbound links, not because they have superior content.

 

Create exceptional content and the world will link to you

 

yes true, but some are not backlinks even after creating exceptional content..

 

this could have been written by a 5 year old. awful. links are worth about 100x content. Content is important simply because of the fact that it can attract links!

If this taught you anything, you shouldn't be posting about Google

SO, we can say that "Content is king" for "Page Rank"

 

That's true that content is king and we all agree on that, but what about E-Commerce sites then?? They can't have regularly updated content like blogs. Then how to optimize shopping cart sites to rank well in search engine??

Only someone who didn't read the original post in full could make such an error-filled post. You have it backwards. The truth is that links are important because they can attract readers to your quality content. Low-quality or no-quality content just clutters up the internet. People surf the internet for high-quality, relevant content. The average surfer could not care less about links other than as a means to get you to that content.

If you think that "links are worth about 100X content" (your words), that's a pretty clear revelation of how much (or more likely, how little) time and effort you must be putting into providing some well-written, meaningful content to the world wide web.

 

Yea you are correct because without quality and relevant content it's not possible to beat the competition. So try to add some good content to your site....
