1. Be able to view annotations. -- Yes infact the colour combination used makes it more attractive to look. Rating:5 2. Be able to post annotations. -- Yes both private and public. Rating:5 3. Be able to install, open the extension easily. -- Works perfect, just put up the process on how to enable your url for the application down, for people who may not know how to do it. Rating:4 4. Be able to sign up for an account and log into it easily - Very fast and easy. But you must add up a email verification system for your safety. Rating:3 5. Be able to format text when adding annotations - yes its working, but if the button is pressed it appear in both open and close tag manner.. like .. first open tag must appear and then next button press must let the close tag appear, for proper viewing you can add closetags button also. also if the word is seleted and the bold button is pressed appears after the word and the word does not get surrounded by the tag. -- i hope u got what i meant. Rating:2 6. Colour code annotations with highlights on the page - perfect, looks very nice. u mean the annotations appear in different colour right? yes they do! Rating:5 7. Be able to make a post private or public - yup works perfect. Rating:5 8. Display which user posted a certain annotation and at what time - yes I can see the time and date i posted. - working! Rating:5 Can you give the plugin a easy login and logout button? logout button is not there at present! How to use the plugin.. mention it in a help corner like : Once you have installed it, you can start it by right clicking on the page and clicking on annotate it. your plugin is really useful .. therefore total rating is 4.25 [(5+5+4+3+2+5+5+5 )/8] .. you can claim it a beta version. Here is the screenshot of my testing:
Version 1.3 is out now, this has all the functionality you recommended, as well as website recommending. If anyone wants to try it, just install it from the website.
1. Be able to view annotations. 4 - Very nice little boxes, but I think you should make it more compact. What if there are hundreds of comments? Where would they all fit? 2. Be able to post annotations. 4 - Could post annotations without any problems. But I'd also like to have an option to be able to delete my comments. (IF you already can them I'm too stupid to do it) 3. Be able to install, open the extension easily. 5 - I found it to be very easy to install. No problems what so ever. 4. Be able to sign up for an account and log into it easily 5 - Very good. It was quick and easy. No annoying email verification. Good. 5. Be able to format text when adding annotations 5- Buttons work like a charm. 6. Colour code annotations with highlights on the page 5- Works. Do the colors appear randomly? 7. Be able to make a post private or public 5- It posted it. Your private posts should have a note or something to it that says this is your private post. So stupid people (like me) would know. 8. Display which user posted a certain annotation and at what time 5- Works fine. I used the version 1.3 When there are more than 6 comments "More" button appears, so I could see the ones on the bottom. But I can't see the top ones again until I reoad the page. No "Go back and see the top ones again" button
Well, ill only pay once, but if you like the software, can you maybe tell your friends etc? It would be good to get a lot of users. Pete
