Hi there. I opened this thread just to do some market research on which domain name registrar is better. Godaddy or Name.com.

In my experience I have found name.com much much better. There customer support has been excellent. They allow you to purchase domains with unverified PayPal accounts and dont require you to have a credit card linked up with your PayPal to pay. They also have the best domain control panel which is very easy to use and simple so everyone, even the biggest of newbies can learn how to use it. In my case I found Godaddy's control panel very complicated and messy.

So whos your favourite and why?

    Regards
    George

godaddy has lots of bulk domains owner. ex. i bought around 200 domains in seconds from a godaddy customer.
transfer is very easy, customer support is fast but some answers are ugly.
i am planing to buy godaddy pro reseller

Started using GoDaddy about a year ago, but have gradually switched to Name.com as they are cheaper than GoDaddy.

I have never used Name.Com so i can't really comment, but i do have over 30 domains with Godaddy, and when you become an accredited affiliate with them the benefits are amazing...

If you work within a web development agency i would approach the sales support and ask name.com if they offer any benefits if you can "guarantee" a certain amount of domain registrations a month or so.

It has worked for me in the past and it certainly cuts the price down considerably, ever wanted a domain for $4.50, it's possible!

I stopped using Godaddy due to all the upselling and became tedious to register a domain, I also use namecheap who are pretty good and you get free whois protecttion if you want it.

Though they both are good, I like to keep my domains in Godaddy. Mainly because I see Godaddy being used for professional business things rather then personal. Godaddy also looks more professional and is well known through out the world. So it is all depends on how you want to use them.

I love Godaddy customer service. They are knowledgable, reachable, and most of the time patient. For that alone I like using them.

I've started using Name.com and it's not bad.
    Namecheap is still my favorite.

I like Name.com more than Godaddy because of the interface is much simpler. It is easy to follow and faster loading. Namecheap is also good but Name.com is cheaper.
