I've seen a few stores powered by AoM that actually have a decent pagerank, so my guess would be they have decent SERPs as well and probably make some money.

It is always nice to hear that people are making sales from astores :)

    I have this similar website,

As far as aesthetics and SEO are concerned, AOM is leaps and bounds above a generic aStore, especially if it is just in an iFrame like yours is, but a large part of making the store work is promoting it. Using the AOM script won't guarantee you any sales, but it will make your site look more professional, the SEO'd urls will help get your site indexed in search engines, and the theme is much more easily customizable.

I think it is also important to look at the actual URL of the site. I think the typical consumer will find a regular URL like I and others use to be more secure, as opposed to what I see many using, which is the astore URL astore .amazon .com/yourwebsite

It would seem to me a user will see the Amazon part of the domain, they will mistakenly feel the site is a middle man making profits from them if they make a purchase, and leave to go directly to Amazon.com which makes them feel they cut out the site, and they are saving money.

So I feel its essential to spend the time to find a domain to use.

I paid for AOM (associate-o-matic) and use it in the backend. While other sites use it as their main source.

See my site http://www.Lgadgets.com to see what I mean.

Oops forgot to mention, I have been making money off of it. About $500 dollars since April of this year. Not much but a good start.

There are some *huge* reasons to use astores over AOM:

    1) Easy to use, no hosting costs, etc.
    2) If you get some backlinks, an astore will pop to the top of the search rankings, since Google gives credit to the astore, since it's URL is astore.AMAZON.com and AMAZON is a PageRank 9 site.

If you make your own AOM store, you had better have a darn good method to get traffic to it, since it's not going to show up in the search rankings without a ton of work.

What about Ghostscript? Is there any successful websites using that script?
