Blog in Partnership ?

I am planning to start a new blog. It takes a lot of time and energy for frequently posting, promoting, seo, managing etc. of a blog so I thought why not have a partner.

1). So, is it a good idea to have a blog partnership ?

2). Blogger or WP ?

And if anyone of you reading is interested in joining hands then please send me a message or simply post in this thread that you are interested and i will message you with details. I would prefer someone from India.

Go with WordPress, self hosted. Gives you much more flexability in working with the software. Also, I think it's a good idea getting a partner, but it can depend on their ability.

Er drop me a pm, I'm sure to give you a hand getting it all setup and even some posting if you need it.

 

I would say having a partner is a great idea.

Also, you should use wordpress hands down.

One more thing i am curious about is the cost that is required per year for domain + hosting on blogger/WP

 

I am From India But i Would love only blogger as i never used wordpress becuase it works very slow to me.

 

Wordpress is very good and a lot of free and premium themes and plug in

 

If you know anything about HTML, go with a self-hosted WordPress site. You'll have a lot of flexibility with that. Blogging is good if you want an "average" blog that you don't make any mods to.

Wordpress is excellent, i've been using it for the past two years.....so stick with!
Now it's nice to have a partner with you , because it reduces the workload on you.
Not only workload will reduce infact your site promotion would become quite easy.
But make sure that your partner is having those qualities which you are looking for!

wordpress is the king!

 

Domains cost $10 or below. Most registrars sell .com domains for just below $10 for a year. .net, .org, .ca, etc. are similarly priced; however, sometimes they do run specials on .info and the like.

.coms are revered to be the best, but they are also the most scrutinized by Google due to the large amount of spammers.

Blogger blogs are free...hosted by Google.

Wordpress.com blogs are also free.

Self-hosted Wordpress blogs which are what everyone on DP goes crazy over cost anywhere from $2 to $8 per month for hosting. In my personal opinion, this is the best way to go as well. You get more freedom and a lot more choices for customization.

All in all, you are looking at anywhere from $35 to $96 per year for self-hosted Wordpress blog. A bargain indeed.

 

I pay around $230 per year for my blog to be kept online, that's the domain renewal, hosting & also any programming I need from an external coder.
