This proves the power of OFF PAGE optimization (link Building)

Here's proof of how powerful Off page optimization is...

Remember a few years back when an effort was launched to create text links of miserable failure to the official White House biography of President Bush.

In about 6 weeks the link to George Bush's biography became the first result for miserable failure on a Google search and yet the term miserable failure was nowhere to be found on the entire website

By creating links to the official presidential biography page with the anchor text miserable failure, a relatively small number of website owners and bloggers were able to make the site appear as the first result when searching for miserable failure

Political blogger George Johnston was the coordinator of this particular "Google bombing", In October 2003, he began to encourage his visitors to participate in the "Google bombing".

The bomb proliferated beyond the Google web search: miserable failure returned images of Bush on Google Images and Local and Maps return the "US Executive Mansion" and the White House as the first two results for "miserable failure" in Washington, D.C

After over two years, Google finally defused the “Google Bomb” that had returned US President George W. Bush at the top of its results for the term Miserable failure

This Google bombing proved the power of Off page optimization by acquiring in-bound text links

    It worked once.

So what is your point? Outside of bolding that term all over the place in your OP, what is your point?

If this is some kind of political message, you are in the wrong forum.

Here's a better example, without the political overtones. Google "click here" and you'll find the #1 result is Adobe's PR10 page. You will not find "click here" even once on that page. But they score #1 because of all the "click here" hyperlinks on other webpages pointing to Adobe.

It is a classic example of the power of keyword-targeted hyperlinks.

Point is... there are an awful lot of posts that ask the question "How important is off-Page optimization" so I thought I would give an excellent example of how powerful it is!

If it was of NO value to you, then so be it! You don't have to slam me for trying to help out this community.

Google Algo is (so much) improved. This year you can get 5K links into your homepage "chooseakeyword", and yet you won't rank high in SE's. Why? Because Google learned over the years and they are improving their Algo every single minute.

But be my guest to give it a try! And no, no one is one crack in here.

It took a lot of people, a lot of time and a lot of SPAM to get that to happen by the way.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, then why is it that my websites rapidly move upwards after I've gone gone on a link building campaign?

Quality in-bound links are still a very important factor!

Search Miserable Failure, it's no longer ranking anywhere and it's no groundbreaking "Proof" about anything. So yes it is completely irrelevant indeed.

This thread should will probably rank higher for miserable failure lol.
