I tried building links pointing to the DP search that place the advanced searches fields in the querystring.

For instance this one should point to search results containing every thread I've started in the Content Marketplace forum.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?dosearch=1&searchuser=joebert&starteronly=1&exactname=1&forumchoice[]=76
    Code (markup):
However rather than pointing directly to the results, it's pointing to the form and just prefilling the fields, which isn't as desirable.

Has anyone else tried this before ?
    Am I missing something ?

vBulletin doesn't make it easy to change a search into a GET string. Just keep reviewing the variables in the form and messing about with them until it works.

Add do=process to the query string. It should work.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?dosearch=1&searchuser=joebert&starteronly=1&exactname=1&forumchoice[]=76&do=process
    Code (markup):
    Link : Live Link
