As much as I love Wordpress, the support via the official support forums has been very disappointing for me....I think ive had 2 replies out of 7 support questions over the weeks and months ive been using it. I dont know if thats fairly typical of the support on offer but its pretty poor imo. I know there is a commercial support service available for companies that costs around $2k a year, which is obviously way in excess of what the average joe needs or could afford. Is there a support service available for average users? Id happily pay a nominal fee quarterly or yearly if it was worth it. Nothing is more frustrating than incomplete projects cause you cant figure out problems yourself, after hours and hours, sometimes days, and you cant get the support you need. /end whine ...but ya its really starting to bug me.
I also find the WO official forum pretty useless. A lot of members seem to think you're some kind of idiot if you do happen to have a question... I just hate the attitude. I found most of my answers on this forum, or if the question is plugin-related, on the plugin author's page.
I have to agree, I hat the wordpress forum. It is really poor, and the users there act like they know it and so should you. I have been seriously considering starting a non-profit site just for tutorials, themes, plugins, and support. All user contributed, but an extension to the standard wordpress documentation.
The Wordpress community is open source, and opening an official paid support service is not likely to happen. However you could try posting your queries over here- a sizable number of us use wordpress.
