Yes I'm using this technique and it works best till today I myself made at least 1 sale per month per video that was uploaded on YouTube. So if you need more, just upload 100s video which has embedded link to your simple landing page mention in each video. You will then get 100s sales per month already. If one sale gives you $20 commission means each month you will earn minimum $2000.

But of course your video must be very catchy (any video will do. Just copy others ), affiliate product page must be very attractive (beautiful design, fast loading, simple & easy to understand) and always push your video views & comments yourself using bots.

From my PM,

I built simple page consist of some sort interesting content about my affiliate product and put in the affiliate banner together with it. Bind it nicely. No other link except that affiliate link.

Then I inserted this web address into my video. Also mention in the video description.

That's all. What most important is the video must be very interesting. Regardless what ever video you show. Normally in the middle of the video & at the end of it, I will insert crawling message mentioning about the web address + catchy phrases. Example:

Join our survey & get FREE phone. Find more at ...

I understand the ripping other videos part- tried it after reading a similar post here on affiliate marketing on YouTube.
It didn't get me squat.
Everyday shmucks like me don't get the views.

Which begs the question:
What do you mean by using "bots"?

Do they work to boost views (I doubt that works when I think about it), or is it some other kind of software?

 

Problem is making 1,000 videos isn't exactly the easiest of things...

1) Download youtube video to .flv format :

2) Convert .flv to .mpg / .wmv with this tool:

3) Watermark / embed your weblink using Windows Media Maker

4) Upload it back to YouTube.
