I mean, will page with more text be ranked better for a specific keyword? Or it doesn't matter that much?

Longer articles will have a greater chance of getting found for more long tail searches.

What do you think is the ideal length of an article in terms of SEO?

I would say around 300-500 words that would be ideal

Word length does not matter when it comes to SERPS. It mainly matters about high content quality, repeating of long tail keywords throughout the content, and making sure you don't overkill (only repeat 2-3 times maximum).

If you target 300 words with the keyword phrase used once in each paragraph, you will do fine. But if you think 100 words or 10,000 words will impact the pages SEO, that's not the issue.

If you can write 10,000 words of unique content, then break it up into 100 web pages and then this will have a major impact on SEO.

For me there text content on your page and targeted Keywords is the better... but you have to consider the usability of your site, Think not only with the SE.

you are totally right about that. Long article and more word can likely rank more in a long tail keyword.
