As some of you will remember, a couple years ago I released a web directory form filler extension for Firefox. Some of you purchased it and made other arrangements with me. After much consideration, I have decided to make it available free of charge to everyone. You can read more about it and download here. I ask only that if you want to mention it on your blog, that you link to the page on Gadget Advisor rather than hosting the actual file. If you need any help, don't hesitate to let me know. Enjoy!

I would recommend this. I was one of the ones who bought it :):( Not sure if that's a good bad thing or not, as it has actually been used every day since I bought it a year ago.

Good to see you back with a new site Chris :)

Better than roboform, especially when handling deep links.

Great! I always fancied trying that form-filler out but could never justify spending $150 for the amount I'd use it.

Thanks much for all the comments and welcome backs. I hope everyone enjoys using the extension and finds it as useful as I do, myself. :)

The difference is you had the benefit of using it for the past year + when others were struggling along with other methods. :)

Quite right. It helps for forms in general - such as registering to forums etc.

One query I had though - does it not work on secure pages such as order and payment forms - those using https:// ?

Yes, it does. Just keep in mind that order forms don't have to use any certain field names. So, you'll likely have to manually assign more fields than for directories, which all the most common have already been programmed in.

That's odd - because when I right click the field and assign it a form filler field - then click the button, it still doesn't work.

Also you mentioned in the blog post that the demo video is out of date. Does this mean I may be running an older version to the one you just offered for free?

I feel its a joke to make the extension free. As a buyer when I pay for something, I expect the software to updated in future with more features or support.

Making a the software free only makes me feel that I wasted my money on something that's now available free. :)

I have always supported the extension, and it has been improved with this version as well as a couple updates before this one. You were able to use it long before everyone else. I could have charged an upgrade fee for the latest improvements, you know... You should be happy it it free. :)

It is free, but only from the Gadget Advisor page...
