    Hiya all,
My Charity Bids is donating 200$ this week to help the victims of Myanmar Cyclone.

I was thinking of donating those bids revenues collected to Unicef, would that be the best organization where the money will actually be used properly (and not go into someones pocket ) .

Thought i did ask here as directory owners might have few organizations in mind that work really good !!

Thanks again for bidding on Charity Bids.

    Cheers

Read up on the percentage of donations actually go towards the good causes - you'll find $200 will convert to cents by time you pay it to any charity. Donate money to them to save lives and all you're doing is giving their CEO's a nice deep pocket lining, eh?

Why dont you choose at random one of the submitters to allocate the chosen charity for that / each period ?

I think Red Cross will be another you may want to consider, they have their presence in Myanmar and would be in a position to help the victims more.

Are these donations made without being anonymous so that we can check that contributions are being sent and not just saying they have? Not that I distrust anyone I just like to make sure that the money I may donate in the future goes to where its claimed to be going. Can the OP please let us know the exact charity address he sent the donation to and post a copy of the transaction. I'm sure that with such transparency will come more donations.
