Your Thoughts?? Is the Yahoo Directory Worth the Cost?

I know that being listed in the Yahoo directory use to be significantly important for google SERPS, in your opinion is the YAHOO directory worth it anymore, especially with their PageRanks stipped on internal pages? Share your thoughs..

 

Yahoo in Google forum? I don't think it is worth paying to be included in the directory and the inclusion itself is not guaranteed...
Instead, concentrate on more important seo techniques

Same with you. Anyway, the big G is my priority in all search engines.

 

Not ideal, better strive for natural and high quality traffic from true people who search and looking for information or product.

I only paid once for one of my websites, and got it listed.. however in my opinion i don't think it worth it at all

 

I never tried Yahoo directory and I am getting enough search visits from Google. Not many from Yahoo though. Yes, with an inclusion, I guess you can get quite a bit of visits from Yahoo. Doubtful about Google boost though.

 

It is not worth it and what the do supply is junk.

You posted in the wrong section anyway, I personally have not paid for the yahoo submission as the section where I want my site to be included, already have many pages and the last deep page in that section do not even have any PR. I think for me, its not worth the $300.

 

I purposely posted it in this section because I sas mostly concerned about its affect on GOOGLE serps... Thanks for all the valuable information.

 

There are better places for your money. I'd take the $300 and find some good directories in my niche that get traffic.

Agreed, for $300 it's sent me about 4 visits in the past 6 months and done nothing for my rankings.

 

i think it's a perfectly feasible question for the google forum, ie will it help in Google to be listed in Yahoo?

and I think no, its a total waste of money. we have clients with websites in there, and have seen no traffic and no noticable rankings effects whatsoever in comparison to their other sites that arent included.

 

please ac to my opinion don't submit to yahoo directory its worth submitting.

 

Tried it - didn't boost my Yahoo ranking (thought it might)...

Not worth the money.

 

not much important. you may get link on some high page rank websites instead of that.
