Hi, It looks very interesting. I'm going back for another look when I've got more time. I'd put a banner at the top of the first page, it looks a bit "unfinished" if you see what I mean. Good luck. Mike
umm looks decent kind of boring because there are only 2 colors also the corners on the boxes are broken on my screen IE7 i think ^^agree with the banner part but i never thought of doing a 2 column thing for a webpage you can display more like that so if you can find a way to make it a little more eye appealing then i think it would be pretty good
I don't like it. When I see sites like that I immediately close it. It's unattractive and un-inviting. Sorry.
Hi MG, It sounds like a lot of folks dont like the colors. I personally dont have a problem with them, but if this small sampling is any judge then perhaps the larger majority will feel the same way. Like I said I dont think the colors are the problem, the site just needs some pizzaz. Is that how you spell pizzaz? Anyway, some images, a header and at least one more shade of peach might help. Interesting site, by the way. Good Luck.
I dont understand the concept of the site actually..Basically, it has the features of a forum, but its not a forum..It has two sidebars, but no standards applied to arrangement..Colors are pretty far from discussion.. For a site like this, I would at least make the important elements appear clearer..But here, the site looks like a headache with too much words..No hard feelings though..Just my two cents You have CSS as a weapon, but you have not utilized it..Keep preactising, you will improve gradually
The colours are really bland and its not very pleasing on the eye, I have to agree with EmzDesign here, it makes me want to click off it before I even start to read any of the information on the site. It definately lacks a design concept, you need a design that captures your audience as soon as they land on the home page. Currently its just a bunch of boxes dumped on a page loaded with too much heavy information. Space the information out more. A banner like a previous writer remarked is a definite. Looking at your reviews you appear to have a quality tool to offer users, ensure your website design meets the same standard and you should see an increase in the usuage of your website.
Rather boring look to it, but it's a site that offers a services, so if people are looking for it, they'll use it. Everything looks a little tight and cramped.
I would make the boxes fill up the whole page with the left sidebar and the main part. It looks like a last minute elementary school project pasted on a white poster paper with a title on top made with a black marker. There are more pleasing colors than this mustard-ish yellow, and you could experiment with a 3 color scheme or maybe 4. You can use this site just for ideas http://www.colorsontheweb.com/colorschemes.asp Also try to have more of a distinction between the comments. Maybe a type of 'white' space or some kind of separating bar, but not alternating colors of those 2, it would just be an annoyance on top of what you have.
At this moment in design people are attracted to shiny colorful designs. I hope you see where I'm going with this. I support simplicity, I hate when a web site is overloaded with colorful icons and shiny banners but yours is an overkill in the other direction. Csszengarden is a great place for inspiration an examples of simple and attractive web designs.
just work on making it a little more eye appealing...that doesn't mean overdoing it, just keep to a color scheme and keep it simple
