I'd keep an eye out on the forums mate, I'd also check online portfolios and search on google.

There'll be hundreds of top quality writers on here for you to hire :)

    Hope this helps.

The copywriter's board would also be a good resource. I'm not going to post a link from one forum to another so google it.

It's OK to post the link for that one. If you wanted look for copywriters in the copywriting board, you can find it here: http://www.copywritersboard.com/

You could also try writing communities like the forums at www.absolutewrite.com, or browse the comments of freelance writing blogs to see if people in the specialty you're looking for are posting.

Maybe there should be a similar listing of copywriters here and make it
a sticky so there is a quick reference just like on the copywritingboard
where I happen to be listed as well.

    Just an idea.

Thanks for the idea, but we don't sticky those kinds of posts here.

    depends what your budget is.

    I would checkout odesk

You can just outsource your needs to people who can write up some great stuff. I've been using it and I'm happy with it.

You definitely need to have some kind of budget in mind. If you want to hire a sales letter writer for $800 or under, you need to go to somewhere like elance. You may be able to go to copywriting board and post a job there but your selection will be more limited.

It usually takes about 40 hours to write a sales letter, most of it going towards researching the prospect and then positioning your product to this market. Once a copywriter does this part, the next phase is putting together a sales letter like a puzzle, hitting just the right nerve at the right moment. Doing this well is the key to getting the conversions.

If you are going to pay $2k or up, there are a number of qualified copywriters who can get you the conversions you are looking for.

FYI: Ray, who has posted here, is a sales letter writer. His rates are clearly outlined here:
