    Hi,
    I am new to SEO and I am looking to submit my site to free web directory.As all of the directory ask for backlink from my site..then I am not sure how the people offer 5000 Directory submission for few dollar work. I don't think any one give back link to 5000 Directory.

    Can any one tell me is it possible to submit to 5000 web directory without giving backlink or recriprocal link ..or there is a workaround for that.

    I am not sure about 5000 free ones but surely we have more than 1000 at directorycritic.

    Have a look in the directory section of this forum, there are plenty of free directories for you to get started on. Nearly all are free directories.

    you are right. many ask for link back to their directory. but more free ones also there. better not to link to evryone. see other good PR blogs and find the widget of directories. then you start submitting to those directories as well

    There are a lot of free directories that do not ask for a reciprocal link, specially the ones with low PR...to submit a low PR site to a high PR directory you have to give them a link, pay for a link or have a tremendous brand new site plenty of quality and unique information

    Directory submission can get you free links but not quality or PR based links. We have the lists you are looking for at our site (lower left corner).

    Just remember, a PR 0 site will have a PR 0 link (no value to you).

    You will have better luck with the DP Forum Sigs.

    Well, directories submission is also the path of off page work, some time ago it's work very well for promoting our sites but now Google doesn't like much it's giving u little bit advantage. but if you are getting relevant link on good PR page then it's definitely helps to get ranking.

    directories are very helpful for getting traffic to your website,.. and it is a real boost for the website,...

    am not sure for 5000 free diry,. check with every directory and submit, try to submit your site in more directory most of the directories have a free option so try,..
