Hi, What do you guy's think about my new webmaster site... www.TurnkeysDepot.com I would appriciate your input on this. What do you like about it, what do you dislike about it. We are just starting to launch it and would like to correct the flaws before we proceed any further. --Thanks
1. Valid code is a must have, both your CSS (1 error) and XHTML (150 errors) need help... 2. First glance the page isn't entirely clear what I will find here. The tag line with the logo explains it but that takes a second or two to register also unclear if these scripts all cost money, some free, some paid etc... 3. I like the clear layout, the lack of clutter is cool. You might nudge the size of the navigation elements up just a tad so they stand out better... 4. are you selling scripts or are you selling hostgator and be #1 on google? Often I find it strange to land on a site selling me something with ads on it that take me somewhere else...
Thanks for the in depth review, i appriciate it. 1.) I will work on validating the code to fix all my errors. 2.) I'll try to edit main body text to send a clear message. 3.) I agree, I'll see what i can do with the navigation. 4.) Good point, i put the Hostgator link on there cause allot of customers on my other script site ask for hosting also, as for the traffic banner I'll take that off and see what i can put there. Thanks!
Noted that there are quite a number spelling mistakes. You might want to look into that. Other than that, I think everything is ok.
Glad I could help The ads weren't a big deal, just something to keep in mind. The spaces you're using are valuable and so it just depends on what drives the most value to you and your bottom line. Valid code is a thing for me for two reasons, first it tends to display more consistently the way you want between different browsers and second it tends to be favored more by search engines.
