Is internal linking important?

We have a classifieds portal. Is internal linking important. Some say no other yes. Can someone help me with that? Thank you. My main website is www.easysell.com.au.

It is mandatory! It is the only place that you have complete control of marketing you pages and generate Page Rank. By using propper SEOed Anchor Text and have a domain page back link on every page, you will go a long way in helping your site.

Internal links don't count as much as incoming backlinks, but they still do count for SEO/PR/SERP. There's not reason not to use them.

And the best thing about internal links is that you control where they are, where they point, and the anchor text. Take advantage of that - but always consider the user when doing internal linking - don't link nonsense pages with nonsense anchors just for the SE.

when it comes to internal links, its very important for SEO, and it may get your vistor to stay longer on your page, which is always a good idea

 

As Sarah Palin would say, "you betcha" Internal linking is very important for both SEO purposes and site navigation for both the search engines and humans. Good internal linking makes it easy to move from one topic to another. One piece of advice however, don't make your links go too deep. Make your linking strategy a shallow one. By that I mean no page should be more than 2 links away from the home page rather than 5 or 6 like a deep site.

internal linking will help your inner pages get pr from the home page and also if the links have anchor text it helps your serps

 

Internal linking structure is one of the most important things you need to do.

Example: One of my sites after a couple of years is now #1 for a very generic keyword. What I did was rather than use the word "home" within my site navigation was to use this generic keyword. "home" only makes sense if your site is about real estate

This generic keyword is part of a phrase that I am actually targetting and is not used anywhere else on it's own as an incoming link.

The use of your internal links and anchor text on your site are very important and should be a prime consideration when creating your site. You have total control over them and by being careful, you can get great results from doing so.

Great question . If you want to make one page website, then It's not important for you . If anyone in this world make more than one page website, he/she must accept this truth that internal links are important whether he/she agree or not......it's never mind. Suppose, you have more than 100+ pages in your site and someone tell you that internal links are not important; do you stop to use hyperlinks on your page?? NO. Ultimately the answer is IMPORTANT.

dear I think whether a classified portal or a website both needs internal linking as it combine one page from another.
