Hi mate, I actually wrote an article to some person(in australia) , and i requested for the payment... indeed he sent me a payment via paypal , but the payment type was:echeck and the cash did not add into my account... I got the following msg from paypal, saying: "Payment Type: Echeck This eCheck payment will post to your PayPal balance once the funds have cleared from the sender's account, which usually takes 3-5 business days. (Estimated completion date: 15-Oct.-2008) Please do not ship any items until the funds have cleared." Can i trust this statement, or am i being cheated? Will i get the money added to my account on 15th oct?? HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE? please help me out!!
Here is the explanation of Paypal echeck : https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/m...ps=solutionPanels&solutionId=13054&isSrch=Yes I have received a couple of echeck before from my customer. The only suggestion that I can give is, never send the products until the check have been cleared.
It will take 3-5 days for echeck to clear, but he can also cancel the echeck before that and u will not get any payment.
it's like a check/cheque, only electronic. If they have the funds in their bank account, it;ll clear in about a week, if they don't, I guess it'll bounce, though I get them from time to time and i've never had that happen.
But now a days, many are sending e-cheques and cancelling it. and explaining us by saying that some problems occured. E-cheque is a backup source like credit card. Now, he can cancel it easily.
Either that or his card details have expired, that happened to me and I didn't realise I was sending e-cheques. Send him a courteous email and find out if you still haven't received payment.
We are talking about Echeck here not physical check Google adsense send physical check to us or send us electronic bank transfer. There is no any similarity between google adsense check and paypal Echeck. DON.
