CPC' over it's column 9 don't get too excited. These are what people would pay in adwords for google search positions. You are going to be in the content network. A rough guideline is that you might get paid about 10% of the bids you see in these results. Example, if you see a keyword for 'insurance' is running $15. USD, you might get $1.50 USD for a click on your website. You can use this to compare several subjects by entering general keywords for each. I would advise you to compromise between highest paying subjects, and subjects you understand and can enjoy writing about. Good luck.
Sorry, I'm kind of new. So when you say find high paying keywords are you inserting the keywords into your site description and meta keywords or are you actually displaying the keywords on the website? And what do you guys mean by niche? Thanks a bunch and sorry for the lame questions..
JB, You shouldn't try any of that sort of trickery with search engines. Google is smarter than you are. It will have the opposite of the intended effect if you stuff it with keywords like you are thinking. Don't worry about choosing 'the' highest paying keywords. But choosing higher paying subjects makes sense sometimes.

The competition for those high paying keywords can be crazy, if you are new to the game then I would suggest searching for smaller niche's that are not as competitive. You can find niche's that convert really well with not needing a ton of traffic.
I would strongly suggest taking up topics you want to write about. HPK are not going to make you a millionaire.
