    the question is
how much and how LONG and how INTENSELY did you think about your above question BEFORE you started your PH hosting ??

with your server in USA - means you do ALL remote
I assume you have your own reseller package from THEPLANET since the IPs are registered with the planet.
as a host of course you have your OWN root server and thus have to DO ALL by yourself - online - remote from PH to US based servers.

but how in heaven do you belief to have a 24/7/365 server connection for YOU to manage all accounts ?

I am in the PH AS A GUEST since 2000, having my own root server just for my ONE and only domain. even for that alone I have hours or half days or even many days NO connection via regular PH ISPs. last year early january when the earth quake in taiwan damaged the PH connection to the world, there was NO connection at all for nearly 3 weeks. ( I was lucky to have a very special alternate routing available during that period - but normal PH business were offline for all email and surfing in my entire area !)

hosting requires a 100/7/365 connection to the server
for multiple reasons - among others server security, server monitoring, hacker defense, etc.

if you have no funds for advertising, then you have no funds for quality control and server management as well - hence no funds for quality hosting .....
with such low prices you'll never be able to afford quality hence the only way to get customers is to convince your Davao local community and friends.
To do so successfully you need your own community site, a forum, support via your self hosted forum,
you also need to be able to TEACH your potential PH customers to BE successful in THEIR own web project. the only way to TEACH OTHERS to BE successful is by being successful yourself first.
once YOU are successful web publisher, then you may earn enough from your own site's revenue to afford quality and to advertise your hosting.

until you can prove your potential customers that having a website is profitable, progressive, successful extension of a useful life, you'll have no convincing arguments to make other Filipino start a web site or purchase hosting from anyone on earth. how else could or can you get others buy a hosting package in Davao or other parts of PH if yourself has no funds to promote your own business ???

In the PH as well as elsewhere, it's NOT about making money, its about making happy, about being useful, about making life easier and more loving for all - with or WITHOUT web.

    BTW
you are having a few sites in your signature - about making money ....
how can you have such sites without knowing yourself how to make enough money to earn full hosting promotion !?!

    @hans

Thanks you very much for you effort, it was really long..

My reseller account was not from THEPLANET it is in Hostgator. At first I just bought a reseller account for me and my friends. I am not really expecting before that I could have launch this hosting site for me.

Since I am only only using a reseller account I don't to worry about technical thing and there are many good feedback about hostgator so I trust them.

I am really new in internet marketing, although my blog is earning but it cannot pay my reseller hosting. I got this money in doing online task and projects as Freelanceer.. and tried this hosting for EXTRA INCOME.

Now I am trying to to do some SEO but I guess it not enough, most of my clients now are my friends and friends of my friends.. I only have 2 clients in abroad got it here.

    a qualified
    whois 74.53.89.1
query will show that its theplanet

    whatever
    hostgator subcontractor from planet
    you from hostgator
    YOUR customers from you ...

11 years ago I started my site on a reseller account
and had all the troubles i could never want to ask for
after about a year I transferred with some difficulties ALL outside the control of my reseller into my own full responsibility and my own FULLEST CONTROL.

every single support query from a potential customer normally is answered or better settle within MINUTES
if however YOU are NO ROOT on your server
then all the problems and support queries you receive first are forwarded BY YOU to your REAL HOST ( NOT YOU ) ...

why for God sake would you want to punish your best friends with such a loss of quality!?

the very BEST is just good enough
the best always is the most direct relationship HOST/server root to end-customer.

now that i have my OWN root server - i would NEVER want to go back to regular hosting even much less to reseller hosting.

a web site may mean a source of revenue to your potential PH landsmen - every single minute of downtime or unsolved problems may make a difference between survival and halfway decent life or bankruptcy ...
in the PH more than in USA or EU!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience but for now I cannot afford to have my own server or even a dedicated server because I am just starting. I am currently accepting personal and small business sites so data would be a big problem if there will be something wrong in the server.

And also I trust Hostgator because the overall rating on their feedback is really good. Hopefully that would not happen in my case..

Well, You live in Philippines and I'm sure you better know what site owners there want to use. So bring some bloggers and other people on your side and make them to review your company. Contact local directories and business service directories.

I agree with edward. Well I don`t know your hosting packages, but I can tell you what a friend of mine did to promote his hosting. He bought one domain and moved it on his serverand built small websites on his subdomains for some small shops in his hometown. He went to the shops who didn`t have an own website and offered them the website for a price of 50$ if they decided to use his hosting for 1 year. He used the same template of the original website, only changing images and content and went to the next shop and so on..... by now he has 150 costumers each paying 5$ a month for the small hosting package and also a few local big clients, who heared about his good service from the local shops.....
