If you are a programmer then a datafeed as it gives you the most control over the data on your site. If you are not ready to spend the next year learning datafeeds then PopShops is a great way to get products on your site easily. They manage the datafeeds with the merchants and network.
I'm a Datafeedr member. If WordPress is your thing then Datafeedr is definitely the way to go. No plugin is that powerful to build affiliate datafeed stores on WordPress. At $97 per month it may be expensive especially if you plan to build only one store but they will offer lower subscription plans very soon and a whole new redesigned members area that make product search a lot easier (see news and announcements in Datafeedr forum).
This is obvious if you are not new to this business. For wordpress integration - Definitely popshops The wordpress blogs create by datafeedr are not as good. Sure..the demo sites look good. Just look at any of the wordpress blogs, you will notice that the products are created in categories and not new post. The wordpress rssfeed contains NOTHING! It is useless to use a wordpress blog when there is nothing to ping. Popshops wordpress integration give you NEW post for each product or combination of products. Your wordpress rssfeed are filled with products.
Hi Eric here from Datafeedr. I just wanted to let everyone know that we have updated our membership plans, adding 3 new plans. The current plans are as follows: 1 Site - $27/month 5 Sites - $47/month 10 Sites - $67/month Unlimited Sites - $97/month If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Eric
I agree with oceanadsense. If you're looking for a datafeed store solution for WordPress, Datafeedr is definitely THE best service out there. And the owners Eric and Stefan are providing an excellent customer service.
My suggestion would be for PopShops. Winner of the best affiliate tool in 2007, and very user friendly.
....I'm going for Datafeedr. From what I've seen on the Websites, Datafeedr has more Merchands to offer, like ClickBank, which is missing in PopShops.
