Well, the word "the" before a domain name in most instances diminishes the value of what
in this case seems to otherwise be a perfectly brandable set of names, particularly the first.

You could successfully brand them, but the challenge would be keeping your potential traffic
from going to blogoholic dot com and symbiangeek dot com
That would be the challenge both if you develop and when you present the name to potential end users.
For the latter, I think it is harder to overcome.

Still, I believe the names are best developed.
    Reseller...$xx
    End user..not sure.

suzybakeoven - Thanks, rep added :)

mozzeratti (rep added, thanks) - I also thought that they would be much more valuable if developed (which is something I plan on doing). Also, I think that with enough branding and promotion, readers won't mix up with theblogoholic.com and blogoholic.com

By the way, could you please tell me the difference between reseller and end user?

End user is basically a buyer whose intentions are to develop the name...perhaps with a website, network of websites, main blog etc.

A reseller is one who intends to sell it.

End users will typically pay much higher than an end user. They assign value to the domain by a number of standards that can sometimes be hard to pin down...therefore the price you can expect has no real "roof"

Resellers on the other hand have to buy low and sell high (or higher),
therefore they assign value based on a set of standards such as; the current market, marketability of the name, length and adaptability(brandability),
the size of the end user pool etc

I would say $30 for theblogoholic and $20 for thesymbiangeek. They're both alright domains, what are your plans for development?

Its funny how in the same thread you could have someone who likes one name over the other.

I think you should develop one at a time since it takes a lot of work to see real results. I made the mistake of doing one to many at one time and getting
    mediocre results.

Thesymbiangeek has no value to me. Not sure if I understand the name. Must be a niche market, which could be a good thing for you.

TheBlogaholic appeals to a much larger audience.

suzybakeoven - Actually, theBlogoholic.com will be related to blogging, marketing, etc. theSymbianGeek.com will be related to Symbian operating system for mobiles, Nokia phones, etc.

Hehe, trust me, the Symbian niche is pretty big! :)
