Whilst not a specific SEO forum, http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/ has a good SEO section and a lot of nice people prepared to help.
well i am loyal to this forum that is why i couldn't suggest one for you if you want you can search google type seo forums and the first result must be very good when it comes to seo.
Here are 3 sites that you can start with: 1) SEM Basics -- http://www.sembasics.com Great search marketing tutorials and search engine marketing blog 2) SEOMoz -- http://www.seomoz.org One of the best search related blogs out there 3) Search Engine Watch Forum -- http://forums.searchenginewatch.com A great forum, excellent place to ask questions.
SEO BUM is good. http://tinyurl.com/3wruwt They have a very active forum, and in just a month its already PR3, and in the top 100k Alexa Rank. Lots of new members and a contest to win a ton of cash too for the celebration of the new site. Check it out.
seochat was the best about 5 or 6 years ago, I don't know what its like now. Digitalpoint was really good back then too when I was active in seo. I've just come back to it and it seems to have all gone pear shaped. Nobody seems to really have anything useful to add. Just lots of "Yes, I agree with your point" and shit like that. No real discussion except from a few select individuals
I have posted in forums like V7N, SEO GUY and here at DP. All of those are good places to learn SEO but if you want to go to forums that are focused on SEO and search marketing you should visit the forums at SEO.com.
I enjoy the DP discussions on SEO, but I have found that SEO.com is completely focused on the subject of search engine optimization. DP has a wider subject matter, which in most cases has been extremely helpful and informative.
Forums aren't really the pace to be learning about SEO, there's too much misinformation and rumour. Take a look at Sphinn and a few of the better SEO blogs
thanx guys, its not really just about learning although we all have never finished learning, just looking for a like minded community to discuss SEO etc.. there seo community here is pretty poor Yeh sphinn is good and since threadwatch pretty much closed is a great tool for checking out different articles on a number of sites
