The power cuts have become a terrible problem in most indian states and day by day its worsening. In major indian cities there are complaints that atleast 5hrs of powercut are happening on daily basis. As a webmaster, how you are dealing with this?
We have invertor in our house as well as i am working on laptop at home so no more worries of power cut most of the time. DON.
I have a UPS at work. I don't have an issue there. But the moment I get back home, I get pissed off like anything. 6 hours of power cut every single day. The worst part is, the electricity goes off at 3 in the morning and comes back at 4. How in the hell can you have a good night's sleep?
I have an external UPS and battery that gives me 2 hours of backup, then i have the home inverter that can give another 6 hours of backup. But its still not enough, as i have faced powercuts for the whole day sometimes. Though the funny thing is, the state electricity board says, there is power surplus,
Yesterday It was some record of sort there was no power for 9 hours!! I dont remember tamilnadu facing such an crisis!! Industries are crumbling my fathers theatre is incurring an extra cost of 500 rupees per show for generators.. poer goes off from 12 in the afternoon to about 6pm in the evening So no way to avoid it!! Business is going down..as far as webmaster business goes I am not worried as I am working on Laptop or my Pda
yeah! Laptop and inverter saves me Think about those who cant afford when does these powercuts stop? i heard that this wont stop until atleast 1 more year. Too bad
The power situation is grim in South India, particularly in Tamil Nadu where people are grappling with powercuts. Power goes off on a daily basis for almost 6 hours and life becomes horrible. Have to concentrate on more offline work to manage your precious time.
As a webmaster, you can give rest to your eyes when there is no power. You can also concentrate on things other than the net.
For powercut i use solar light which is for one hour a day. for working as webmaster i am planing to buy an UPS, so that i can get power for one hour power cut and i use laptop which give two hour backup.
I will take notes for my blog post at that time especially during day time. whereas in night no problem, I am using inverter...
how are you sleeping in the day?? Its damn humid and sticky when you have no power!! invertor runs out in 4 hours
