    I think that you can test it from your location and that would be enough. All depend on the ISP.

    You will get results back based on region of the world (Europe, Asis, Etc) and east versus west coast in North America.

    From the US. I'm on multiple fiber connections via ATT, TW and am seeing about 7.8k on average.. Highest was 31.2k.

    Latency to 222.214.216.25 is about 300 ms on average. Basically the issues with latency start at about hop 12 for me on a traceroute at China Telecom.

    Number one started at about 6MBPS (average for my connection) then within seconds dropped to ~30KBPS
